| Quality at Taviusa
We acknowledge and respect the importance and ever-increasing relevance of product quality, the systems that ensure it and the regulations that demand it.
That is why, even though we are a small company, we are implementing ISO 9001:2000 quality standards in our organization.
We have also committed to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and have a completed plan implemented for all the products we produce.

Certifications
3rd party certifications are an important part of maintaining transparency in doing business in natural and organic products. We are happy to say that we hold certifications from the following organizations:
Certiplanet (Portugal): Certification that our salt is traditionally produced
Organic Farmers & Growers (UK): Certification that salt is organically approved
Sativa (Portugal): Production of organic bath salt with aloe vera
NFC, Inc. (USA): Apple K Kosher certification that our products meet kosher standards. |
Owner´s Note
The issue of quality is an extremely important one. Whether it is the perception of quality demanded by consumers or the tecnical quality related to producing consistently safe products, ignoring the issue is a good way to drive a business out of business.
In a broad context, quality is essential to develop product trust, especially in a globalized world where products are less and less confined to political boundaries. Production on a mass scale has its drawbacks and one of them is that when a problems arises, it can potentially affect thousands or even millions of people.
In the context of a particular business or product, a lack of quality (or even a perceived lack of quality) is enough to put a company out of business or severely damage its reputation. This is especially true for a small business like ours.
Of course, the best motivation of all for implementing quality in an organization is out of respect for the customer and pride in producing the best product possible. A well implemented quality system ensures that incredibly good natural products such as ours arrive the way they should to those that enjoy them.
